I Have A Dream Activity

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a perfect day to talk to your child about acceptance, dreams, kindness, peace, and more. Celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as a family this year with this colorful I Have A Dream activity!

First, collect all of the materials you will need. You will need markers, construction paper, scissors, and a glue stick.

Help your child cut out a cloud shape.

Have your child write “I have a dream…” on the cloud shape.

Have your child write their dreams on strips of colorful construction paper.

Help your child adhere their strips of paper to the cloud shape.

Voila!

At bedtime, read Dr. Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream as a family to extend the lesson even further.
