Our before-and-after school program provides a happy, club-like atmosphere where children are offered enriched learning opportunities in a fun and engaging environment. The rhythm of the program takes into account each school-age child’s desire to form lasting friendships, explore theme-related topics of interest, gain confidence in their independence skills, and experience a balance of learning and fun.
If your school does not open for in-person class, we can help. We offer on-site full-time and part-time schedules to meet the unique needs of your family. And we will help facilitate your child’s elementary school distance and virtual learning. This means your child can attend school virtually at New Horizon Academy with our teachers available to help answer questions.
Teachers are positive role models who support the growing needs of school-agers in a comfortable and nurturing atmosphere.
Our comprehensive before- and after-school curriculum complements what children are learning in school and offers a balance of enriching learning opportunities and fun. We even incorporate homework support into the daily routine so you can enjoy family time at home.
Our school-age classrooms are places where children can relax before and after school, chat with friends, work on homework, snuggle up with a book in a quiet corner, prepare and enjoy a snack, begin or continue a craft project, or create something unique, all in an environment designed just for them. Our thoughtfully designed school-age classrooms offer the following nine activity areas:
While your child is in our before or after school program, you will receive updates through a mobile app which allows our teachers to share information as needed, send messages, and delight you with photos via e-mail. You are also welcome to use it to send your child’s teacher a message.
“My daughter attended the after school program at New Horizon. It was SO convenient for us that they offer this program because it allowed us to have one pick-up location. The teachers were great, and she loved the change of scenery from her school’s program.”
