Memorial Day is a federal holiday that is celebrated on the last Monday of every May. It is a special day to remember and honor all of the fallen heroes that have died for our country.

1. Visit Your Local Veterans Cemetery
Visiting a local veterans cemetery is a great way to pay your respects to fallen soldiers. Whether you are visiting a loved one or simply paying tribute to all those who served, this is a great way to honor their sacrifice. You can even bring flowers to place on the grave.
2. Make Your Own Flag and Teach Children about Proper Flag Etiquette
Memorial Day is a great opportunity to teach children about the American flag. Help them recreate the US flag with construction paper or red and blue markers. You can also explain why flags are flown at half-staff on Memorial Day in remembrance.
3. Attend a Memorial Day Parade
