While sweets and treats can be yummy, most store-bought candy items have an extremely high sugar content and are not allergy-friendly. However, incorporating fruits and veggies on Halloween does not have to be boring. We made a healthy Halloween charcuterie board with some healthy snack alternatives that are fun, simple, and spooky!

And the best part? Each of these healthy Halloween snacks require less than four ingredients, and many of them you probably already have in your fridge!

Healthy Halloween Charcuterie Board Ingredients

Of course, you do not need to make all of these snacks to have a successful Halloween party. But if you decide to make everything on our healthy Halloween charcuterie board, here are all the ingredients you will need:

  • Bananas
  • Clementines
  • Apples
  • Strawberries
  • Celery
  • Pretzel sticks
  • String cheese sticks
  • Sunbutter
  • Chocolate chips
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Candy eyes (you can find these in the baking section at your local grocery store)

Healthy Halloween Snack Ideas

Children will get a kick out of these fun and healthy Halloween party snacks! Here’s how to make them:

1. Banana Ghosts

Ingredients:

  • Bananas
  • Chocolate chips

How to Make Banana Ghosts:

  1. Remove the peel of your banana.
  2. Cut the bottom of your banana in a zig-zag pattern.
  3. Stick three chocolate chips in your banana to make eyes and a mouth to resemble a ghost face.

2. Clementine Pumpkins

Ingredients:

  • Clementines
  • Green fruit or vegetable (ex: green bell pepper, cucumber, or celery)

How to Make Clementine Pumpkins:

  1. Remove the peel of your clementine.
  2. Cut your green fruit or vegetable of choice into short, thin slices to resemble a pumpkin stem.
  3. Insert your “stem” into the top of the clementine to complete your pumpkin!

3. Clementine Jack-O’-Lanterns

Ingredients and Materials:

  • Clementines
  • Black Sharpie

How to Make Clementine Jack-O’-Lanterns:

  1. Take a black Sharpie or marker to make a jack-o’-lantern face on the orange peel of your clementine.
  2. That’s it! You’ve made a super-fast and easy clementine jack-o’-lantern!

4. Monsters on a Log

Ingredients:

  • Celery
  • Sunbutter
  • Candy eyes

How to Make Monsters on a Log:

  1. Rinse your celery sticks and cut each stick in half.
  2. Wait for your celery to dry and spread the Sunbutter along the center of your celery stick.
  3. Place candy eyes onto the Sunbutter to make “monster eyes”.

5. Apple Mouths

Ingredients:

  • Apples
  • Sunbutter
  • Mini marshmallows

How to Make Apple Mouths:

  1. Cut your apple into slices. You will use two slices each to make a mouth.
  2. Spread Sunbutter onto one side of each apple slice.
  3. Place a row of mini marshmallows across one of the apple slices to resemble teeth. Then, place the other apple slice on top to complete the mouth.

6. Pretzel Cheese Broomsticks

Ingredients:

  • Pretzel sticks
  • String cheese sticks

How to Make Pretzel Cheese Broomsticks:

  1. Remove string cheese sticks from their packages and cut each one into thirds.
  2. Peel back sections of one of the string cheese ends to resemble the end of a broom. Make sure you do not peel them back all the way, so the top part of the cheese stays intact.
  3. Insert a pretzel stick into the top of the string cheese to resemble the broom handle.

7. Apple Monsters

Ingredients:

  • Apple
  • Strawberries
  • Sunbutter
  • Candy eyes

How to Make Apple Monsters:

  1. Carve out a small section in the middle of your apple, large enough to insert a strawberry slice.
  2. Cut your strawberry into a small, thin slices and insert one into the carved-out section you just created in your apple, to resemble a tongue.
  3. Use Sunbutter to stick on candy eyes above your strawberry tongue.

8. Spooky Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries
  • Sunbutter
  • Candy eyes

How to Make Spooky Strawberries:

  1. Rinse your strawberries, so they are clean.
  2. Use Sunbutter to stick on candy eyes to your strawberry.
