We Felt Welcome and at Ease About Our Decision

“Our 2 sons started with New Horizon back in 2011. We had just made the move to Minnesota and we nervous about starting a new center. From Day one New Horizon in Maple Grove made us feel welcomed and at ease about our decision. My oldest son was in the process of being diagnosed with Autism at the time. He was a difficult student, but his teacher spoke so highly of him and talked about how much she enjoyed him in class. She always gave a recap of his day and shared the highs and also the things he had trouble with. One day she gave us a book about a little boy with Autism just because she thought of Colin when she saw it and wanted us to have it. We took a six month break from New Horizon Academy to do therapy with our oldest.  When we came back we needed to have therapists join him every day at school. Not only was New Horizon supportive with this; I often had the teachers ask me questions about how they could help or support when the therapists were not there. They continued to share how much they enjoyed having Colin in their classes and how much he had improved. The support,  dedication, and caring from this team of teachers is overwhelming. I truly believe they are a big part of Colin’s growth and development through the difficult diagnosis of Autism. We are so grateful for everything they do for both our boys and will continue to share our story with friends and coworkers.”
