Welcome to our Infant Program! Each baby is to be cherished, and our youngest children are cared for in an environment that is especially responsive to individual needs. Our loving caregivers respond to each baby with kind words, warm smiles, and gentle touches to assure each child that they are safe, secure, and special. At New Horizon Academy, our infant classrooms offer an array of bright, stimulating equipment alongside soothing, restful areas, which provides a rich environment for babies to safely explore the wonderful new world around them.
Our Commitment to Excellence begins in our Infant Program and includes:
- A trusting partnership between our caregivers and each baby's parents
- A daily schedule, developed with you, to meet the unique, individual needs of your baby
- Our Early Discoveries Infant Curriculum, which provides opportunities to enjoy, explore, and learn by touching, hearing, seeing, and grasping many exciting new concepts
- A detailed account of your child's schedule and activities, carefully documented for your review at the end of each day
In addition, New Horizon Academy is proud to be one of the first early education programs to incorporate sign language into our infant programs. Research indicates that sign language provides an excellent bridge to verbal communication. Our caregivers talk to each baby while teaching them signs. The combination of the spoken word along with the gesture of the sign provides the optimum setting for learning.
